Meanwhile, as sales of General Motors’ (NYSE:GM) Chevrolet Bolt EV grew steadily, electric-car upstart Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) moved ahead with its long-awaited mass-market Model 3 sedan — and revealed a couple of surprises toward the end of the year.
